Dubai Islands is a large coastal community on the northern shoreline of Dubai, consisting of five man-made islands designed as distinct yet interconnected locations, ranging from business and residential hubs to resort and green spaces. Each island plays a unique role. For example, Island A functions as a cultural and urban hub with promenades and marinas, while other islands feature recreational zones, golf courses, and exclusive villas, creating a diverse environment for living, leisure, and entertainment. The master plan envisions over 20 km of beaches, marinas, parks and promenades, as well as leisure and sports facilities. The archipelago is connected to the mainland via bridges and roads.
As part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, Dubai Islands plays a vital role in the emirate's strategic development, focused on enhancing the quality of life and urban sustainability. The Nakheel visionary waterfront destination not only extends Dubai's coastline but also creates a fully integrated community with residential, commercial, cultural, and tourism functions, supported by eco-friendly infrastructure and spaces for active recreation. Dozens of hotels, resorts, golf clubs, and public parks are planned, reinforcing the long-term appeal of the area for residents, tourists, and investors.
